Hello!
My name is Liz Long and I’m a freelance illustrator, product designer, and design instructor at Portland Arts and Technology high school in southern Maine. I have a BFA in Illustration (‘14) and MAT in Art Education (‘17) from Maine College of Art.
I made my way to Portland, Maine in 2010 and have been creating here ever since alongside my partner Travis, and cat, Frida. I am continually inspired by the Maine coast, folklore and self biographical motifs. Being an educator alongside of a maker has made me excited to be a lifelong learner which has included the addition of laser cutting technology, fiber art and comic studies into my practice.
Clients include: Beauty Blender, Milliman, Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft, The Center for Loon Conservation, TEMPOart, Maine Maritime Museum, Demont and Associates, Adam Burk and Co., Spencer and the Walrus, Pinecone+Chickedee, The Portland Phoenix, Portland Trading Co., Quiet Tide Goods and Maine College of Art & Design.
